Representatives with the taxi industry have agreed to meet with Police Chief Mark Saunders on Friday at noon following the highly disruptive protest on the streets around Toronto City Hall.
It’s not known what direction the meeting will take, but it will be taking place at Toronto Police headquarters.
There are many taxi drivers who have been expressing their apologies after the mass protest that crippled most of the city’s downtown core for roughly 12 hours on Wednesday.
Some of the cabbies say they hope they never have to look to protesting as option to be heard in the near future.
I have spoken w Chief Saunders and at my request he has agreed to meet w members of taxi industry so long as the blockade ends by 730 pm
