Dollarama will raise prices to as much as 4 dollars for some items and is taking the first steps towards accepting credit next year. The discount retailer saying it will accept the cards at more than 80 stores in British Columbia starting in early 2016. The higher priced items are intended to help the company adjust to the impact of the weakening Canadian dollar. CEO Larry Rossy said the introduction of these items will be slow and won’t affect food products, which will remained capped at $2.
