A Detroit dog owner has been charged with second degree murder and manslaughter after the fatal mauling of a four-year-old boy.
Forty-one-year-old Genenke Lyons was also charged with possessing dangerous animals causing death. Mr. Lyons was the owner of several pitbulls that were known in the neighbourhood to be dangerous and escaped their yard. The boy was attacked by as many as four dogs as he was dragged away from his mother.
Is this the right charge or too extreme?
