York Regional Police are offering a reward in an effort to solve a 15 year old murder case.
33 year old Manuel Desa was stabbed to death following a struggle with two men on Royal Colwood Court, near Dufferin Street and Steeles Avenue in Vaughan on June 25th of 2000.
The suspects fled the scene in what was described as a two-door, light-coloured compact car. Mr. Desa was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Detective Sergeant John Braybrook announced details of the $50,000 reward this morning and appealed to the public for information leading to the apprehension of Desa’s killer.
New information has come to light and investigators are hopeful that the reward being offered will motivate people that have additional information to come forward and speak with police.
Investigators are re-releasing a composite sketch of one of the suspects, as well as pictures from the crime scene. It is hoped that the pictures will jog the memory of those individuals who may have information on this case.
