There are still many unanswered questions about Wednesday’s shooting rampage in San Bernardino, California.
But police there say they are fairly certain the man and woman killed in a gun battle were responsible for the murders of 14 people, and the injuring of 17 others, at a social service center.
Syed Farook had worked with the county for the last five years as a restaurant inspector, and several reports have since indicated he left a holiday party in an agitated state, and returned shortly afterwards with a woman, and weapons.
One of his co-workers told police the U-S born Farook had traveled to Saudi Arabia earlier this year and came back with a wife.
She has been identified as the other person killed with Farook, Tashfeen Malik.
Police say they were armed with assault-rifles and handguns.
