Looks like there’s a high chance that tobogganing will be returning to Hamilton – a ban that has been widely criticized – as long as city council approves of several rules and safety measures. But this doesn’t mean that you can just sled down any hill. So far, the city will be potentially designating just 3 spots the public would be allowed to visit: Lake Ave. Park, Garth St. Reservoir, and Chedoke Golf Course.
Before this, tobogganing fines ranged from $105-5000! The bylaw had been in place for over 40 years.
