An Alberta man has been fined $287 for texting while waiting at a Tim Horton’s drive-thru.
Under the Alberta Highway Traffic Act, using a cell phone while in control of a vehicle results in an infraction for drivers.
The man’s car was in motion while in the drive-thru and was reportedly quite rude to the officer.
However, officers can use discretion when handing out tickets.
