A 45 year old Hamilton woman is facing a number of charges in relation to a string of thefts from older people at retirement homes.
According to Halton Regional Police, the woman entered two separate retirement homes on November 19th at scheduled mealtimes and went into residents rooms where she stole cash and bank cards.
Following an appeal for information, the suspect was identified as Karen Franklin.
Franklin was arrested at her home in Hamilton on Monday November 30th and now faces five counts of break, enter and theft and two counts of possession of credit cards obtained by crime.
She was released on a Promise to Appear in Milton Court on December 30th.
