Councillor Rob Ford has returned to hospital to begin a second round of chemotherapy.
The news was confirmed in an email statement issued by his chief of staff Dan Jacobs on Thursday afternoon.
Jacobs also confirmed that a further round of chemotherapy is scheduled to begin in mid-December and the the former mayor and his family are ”still awaiting test results to determine what the next steps will be in his treatment plan”.
Ford was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer of the connective tissue in the fall of last year, he underwent several rounds of chemotherapy following the diagnosis before surgery in May of this year to remove the tumour.
However in late October, the Councillor was back in hospital, suffering from abdominal cramps, tests were carried out and it was then revealed that doctors had found two new tumours on his bladder.
