The RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two men who police would like to speak to in connection with an ongoing investigation.
According to a news release sent out by the Mounties on Tuesday, two males were observed exhibited what they refer to as ‘suspicious behaviour’ while on the John Street Bridge in the area of the Rogers Centre on August 31st at around 3.30 p.m.
The incident was reported to police who in turn submitted a “Suspicious Incident Report” (SIR) to the RCMP’s National Critical Infrastructure Team.
Details of what exactly the two men were doing have not been released but according to the RCMP, the SIR is a system that is used to collect information on suspicious incidents that may be related to national security.
Both men of interest are described at being between the age of 20 and 30 years old, of medium build with brown skin.
One was wearing a green and white striped shirt with red trim, blue jeans, and blue Adidas shoes with yellow laces at the time, he was also carrying a backpack and wearing sunglasses.
The other man was wearing a blue and yellow striped shirt with some purple stripes, dark blue jeans, and blue Puma shoes with yellow laces, he also had sunglasses hanging on his shirt buttons.
Anyone with information is asked to call Ontario RCMP at 1-800-387-0020, or provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 222-TIPS (8477).
