On Tuesday the federal government, led by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, is expected to officially announce its controversial plan to bring 25,000 Syrian refugees into Canada.
Rumours persist that government will reveal that it will be unable to process that target number by the end of the year.
The government briefed Canada’s premiers Monday about the plan. Quebec’s Philippe Couillard said the presentation was very thorough, and that the plan is being implemented rather quickly, but great precision.
Many Canadians remain concerned about the possibility of ISIS members being unknowingly admitted into Canada.
To counter this concern, the government has allegedly decided to reject young, single men from entering Canada, opting instead for women, children and families.
Now sources say that single gay men will be among the refugees that are being approved for immigration. Why? Because homosexuals could be persecuted if they stay in Syria or a neighbouring country.
Is it fair that the only way a lone male will be approved entry is if he’s gay?
