Police are warning North York residents of a series of break and enters in the neighborhoods.
Officers say there have been a string of break-and-enters in the area bounded by Steeles Avenue to the north, the 404 to the east, Sheppard Avenue East to the south, and Bayview Avenue to the west.
Police say the homeowners are awakened by the sound of the intrusion, but no injuries are being reported.
In some cases, screens were cut, and unlocked windows were unopened.
Residents in the neighborhood are being asked to be vigilant of any suspicious people, vehicles, or activity in their neighborhood, and to call 9-1-1.
Officials are also reminding homeowners to secure their homes by ensuring gates, doors, and windows are locked, and that exterior lights may be effective.
