Nine people have been arrested by Toronto police as a result of the seizure of multiple firearms and narcotics after the execution of search warrants in Toronto and Vaughan, Thursday.
This was an investigation led by the Toronto Police Service Gun and Gang Task Force with assistance and support from the Emergency Task Force, Toronto Drug Squad, Intelligence Services, 23 Division and 31 Division.
Two automatic sub-machine guns, a couple of pistols including one with a silencer and numerous rounds of ammunition were a part of six guns seized, while 1.5 kilos of cocaine, 1.8 kilos of heroin, 1.3 kilos of marijuana, and a half kilo of ecstacy a part of the drugs seized.
The nine arrested were Buu Giang, 39, of Toronto, Tin Lieu, 30, of Vaughan, Phong Nguyen, 25, of Vaughan, Michael Trinh, 38, of Vaughan, Wayne Trinh, 39, of Vaughan, Tanya Truong, 31, of Vaughan, Thang Mach, 44, of Toronto, Chieu Pham, 41 of Toronto and Manh Nguyen, 28, of Toronto.
All appeared in court at Old City Hall on Friday.
