Ontario Health Minister Eric Hoskins has asked his ministry to look at the recently closed hospitals to see if they could house Syrian refugees. A new Humber River Hospital has opened leaving the old buildings empty, the old Oakville hospital could be used as well. With Kathleen Wynne’s commitment to take in 10,000 refugees by the end of 2016 the search for appropriate housing is on.
