There’s been another anti muslim attack in the city following the attacks on Paris.
It comes after a Muslim mother was beaten and robbed by two men after dropping her children off at a Flemingdon Park-area school.
And last weekend, a mosque was set on fire in Peterborough
The TTC says two muslim women were assaulted on a Toronto subway train Wednesday night.
TTC spokesman Brad Ross said the incident took place on a car between Bloor-Yonge and Sherbourne Stations just after 6.
Two men and a woman boarded the train and began to make racist comments about the two Muslim women.
They also suggested that they could be terrorists and the woman allegedly pushed one of the women wearing a hijab.
A witness on the train activated the emergency alarm but the offenders fled before Toronto police officers and TTC special constables arrived.
“The TTC condemns this act, it’s completely unacceptable.” said Ross “We will do everything we can working with police to bring these people to justice.”
The TTC is providing surveillance images to police in hopes of finding those responsible.
