The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) have revealed documents showing that the Ontario Government spent $3,225,000 on markers for the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes, which were around for the Pan Am Games this past summer.
Where did the money go? The Ministry of Transportation spent more that $300,000 on painting HOV markers and then almost $1 million on removing them. Almost $2 million was spent on signs relating to the HOV lanes.
