While some passengers weren’t pleased with his actions, the TTC says it isn’t going to penalize an operator who was filmed performing push-ups on a largely empty bus.
The short video, found below on YouTube, doesn’t indicate the bus route or the driver’s identity.
The bus appears to be parked, and nobody is in any immediate danger. Nobody has lodged a complaint against the driver.
TTC spokesperson Susan Sperling admits to the Toronto Sun HERE that “push-ups are not specifically addressed by any policy. We do have a policy called ‘Operating Excellence” but that deals with things like eating and drinking, smoking, phone us, sleeping.”
The TTC has been unable to identify the driver, despite the video been shopped around a number of TTC bus managers.
Do you think this driver should be punished for trying to stay fit while working a shift that requires one to remain in a seated position for long stretches of time?
Do we know if this drive has mastered the one armed push-up?
