York Police have charged a 65-year-old man with Sexual Assault against a young female victim.
Police began an investigation on November 3 after receiving a report that a young child had been sexually assaulted by the accused on October 30.
The accused was a York Regional Police officer between 1974 and 2006 and has has been employed part time as a Fleet Assistant since 2007.
His employment contract has since been terminated.
65 year old Donald Clark is charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.
He was set to appear in a Newmarket courtroom today to face the charges.
Police are concerned there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
