Do you think the Air Canada Centre and MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment) dropped the ball in their exchange with a Canadian veteran?
Leafs fan Kristen was at Monday’s home game vs the Dallas Stars when she witnessed something that appalled her.
She posted the following story to her Facebook page:
While I’m always happy to go to the #ACC to see the Leafs win or lose, tonight I was very disappointed in the actions of one of the beverage kiosk employees. It is almost #remembranceday and there are veterans here distributing poppies, and when one of the veterans asked this employee for a glass of water he was told “sorry bottles are $5.25”. Lindsay and I watched as this hero walked away without any water and were blown away. I then went and purchased a bottle of water for one of our nations heroes! I was very disappointed that the #ACC and the #MLSE were not providing these amazing people with whatever they wanted, at the very least water!
Do you think a cup of water should have been offered? Heck, should the ACC have provided the veteran with a FREE bottle of water?
