A man who lost his high-paying job at Ontario’s largest hydro company for being involved in a vulgar heckling case has been rehired by Hydro One.
Shawn Simoes lost his job as an assistant network management engineer this May in connection with an incident after a Toronto FC game that was captured on camera and widely denounced.
Simoes laughed and said it was “great” after another fan uttered a vulgar statement (“F@#* her right in the P***y”) to a female T-V reporter.
At the time Hydro One said that he was terminated for violating its employee code of conduct.
Hydro One said today that the matter “was resolved through the arbitration process” during which the company “made its views very clear.”
Hunt fought back by questioning the men about their conduct, but the video shows them dismissing her questions.
