Norm Kelly has put forth a motion in Toronto City Council to include 3 new 3D signs, much like the “TORONTO” sign currently residing outside of Toronto City Hall. The names of these signs? “The 6″, “T.O.” and “T Dot”.
As the motion states, “The recent installation of the 3D Toronto sign on Nathan Phillips Square has been enthusiastically received by Torontonians. In addition to being a display of our civic confidence, it has become an effective branding tool for the City.” As many people from Toronto, and around the world, snapped a picture of the 3D “TORONTO” sign, Kelly feels that more signs will reinforce the modern, “cool” image that Toronto has garnered recently.
Kelly, a notable social media enthusiast, as well as city councillor, has been enthusiastic about the “TORONTO” sign in the past, and hopes that new signs across the city will promote tourism and patriotism for Toronto.
Do you like the idea of adding new 3D signs that say “The 6″, “T.O.” and “T Dot”?
