Peel Region Police are charging two teenagers in connection to two separate prank phone calls.
The first incident happened Monday October 26, 2015, at approximately 8:30 a.m. Officers were called and told there was a man with a weapon at Brampton Centennial Secondary School. Following an investigation, police determined the call to be a hoax.
A similar incident happened on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at approximately 9:40 a.m. and 10:06 a.m. at the same school.
Also on Tuesday, staff at Mississauga Secondary School found a voice mail message stating that there were two males within the school and one of them had a weapon. Police attended at the school and a subsequent investigation determined that this call was also unfounded.
Police are charging a 16 year-old young offender from Brampton with three counts of Public Mischief in connection to the call made to the school in Brampton.
A 15 year-old young offender from Mississauga is also being charged with Public Mischief in connection to the call made to the school in Mississauga.
Officers say the incidents and young offenders have not been linked together.
