Mayor John Tory has asked Torontonians to sport their white and blue tomorrow as he proclaimed October 27th “Blue Jays Appreciation Day.” But one of the newest Blue Jays says he never quite felt home in Toronto. Troy Tulowitzki was suddenly traded to the Blue Jays by the Colorado Rockies in July and he told reporters he has not been able to trust anyone since. After spending his whole career with the team that drafted him in 2005, Tulowitzki discovered he had been naïve about the business of baseball. He learned the hard way safety was no guaranteed.
Does Tulo need to get over the feeling of betrayal since trades happen to tons of players? Does he have a right to complain when he is being paid $20M?
