Concern from some pet owners as clinics in Orangeville have been busy with several patients over the last couple of weeks.
A rash of canines suffering from an unknown respiratory illness have checked in to clinics in which they suffered from several symptoms including a cough and fever.
Dogs suspected of having the illness were separated from other pets upon arrival to clinics.
Even some animals that had been vaccinated came down with the sickness, however there have been no fatalities.
It has the Ontario Veterinary College tracking several cases and conducting tests to nail down potential bacteria or viruses, but so far to no avail.
Owners are advised to keep sick dogs at home and to particularly avoid contact with other dogs.
The illness has a short life span, with many dogs shaking it off within 7 days or so.
