Mark Towhey, Rob Ford’s former chief of staff, has co-written a new explosive tell all titled Mayor Rob Ford: Uncontrollable. The book takes the reader through the mayor’s successful election and early days at City Hall, then chronicles his descent into drugs, alcohol and brushes with the law. But it is Towhey’s revelations about the Ford family life that are likely to cause the most concern. He writes about one particular fight between Ford and his wife, involving drugs and a gun, waged in front of the couple’s kids. Towhey also included Ford’s drunken allegations about his wife Renata, particularly the claim she was doing sex work.
Is Towhey guilty of betrayal? Does he have a right to tell his story?
