The woman who struck and killed a young girl and a newborn baby at a London Costco in 2014 has been sentenced.
Ruth Burger was sentenced today to 3 years probation, 240 hours of community service and a 5 year driving ban.
6 year old Addison Hall was killed after Burger crashed into her along with Hall’s pregnant mother. The baby was delivered via C-section after the crash and also died.
Burger was found guilty of dangerous driving in June.
She testified that after backing up her car to leave, she tried to get out of reverse, but her foot got stuck under the brake pedal and as she shook it to free it, the faster she went.
The judge said he rejected Burger’s explanation.
