Thanks to voters in the GTA Justin Trudea has secured a Liberal majority in this year’s Federal Election. In over 33 ridings Liberals have taken all of them, stretching from Toronto into Brampton and Mississauga.
With the Liberal victory some familiar faces will be joining Trudea’s caucus including former Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair he dominated over NDP candidate Dan Harris in Scarborough South West.
Former Councillor Adam Vaughan also clobbered NDP’s Olivia Chow who after the vote said the NDP “Is far from over.”
Some more bad news for very familiar Conservative faces Finance Minister Joe Oliver has been ousted in Eglinton-Lawrence losing to Liberal Marco Mendicino.
Again, another loss for the Tories, former Police Chief of Toronto Julian Fantino lost his seat in Vaughan-Woodbridge falling to another Liberal Francesco Sorbara.
The Liberals have formed a majority of an estimated 184 seats in office.
