The Toronto Blue Jays are hosting the Kansas City Royals tonight in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series.
That means there will be a number of Road closures around Rogers Centre after the game to help the 50,000 fans leave the game safely.
Blue Jays Way will have a partial road closure, for southbound traffic, from Front Street West to Navy Wharf.
Bremner Boulevard will have a partial road closure, for eastbound traffic, from Spadina Avenue to Rees Street and a full road closure, for eastbound traffic, from Rees Street to Lower Simcoe and for westbound traffic, from Lower Simcoe to Navy Wharf.
Police are asking people heading to the game to use alternate routes to get to your destination, use public transit, car-pool where possible and to consider avoiding the area of the Rogers Centre, if not attending the game.
Still with the Blue Jays they have decided to no longer sell beer in cans to fans in the 500 level.
That’s after beer cans rained down on to the filed after a controversial in Game 5 of the ALDS against the Rangers.
After the incident, Major League Baseball said it would discuss “comprehensive security plans” for the remaining post-season games in Toronto.
