There were two runners who collapsed at the finish line during the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon on Sunday.
The first was a man in his 40’s that dropped while completing the race at 11 a.m.
The second was a man in his 20’s who had to be resuscitated.
Both are now listed in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the marathon was a success, as it injected an estimated $36 million into the city’s economy.
There were approximately 26,000 runners who took part in the marathon.
