You’ll want to layer up and ready the Instagram, as Environment Canada says Toronto’s first snowfall could be happening today.
“We’re looking at a high of 6 today, and there are snow squalls going on right now southeast of Georgian Bay, and some of that snow perhaps could get down as far as the Toronto area this afternoon, so we’ve just got a 40 percent chance of showers and flurries this afternoon.” says Meteorologist Dave Rodgers.
He says snow has already accumulated on cooler surfaces like grass and cars southeast of Georgian Bay, but is melting quickly.
According to Rodgers, the high of 6 on Saturday and Sunday is below seasonal by about 6 or 7 degrees.
If you’re not a lover of the white stuff, not to worry! The weather agency says the temperatures are expected to warm up in the following work week, and whatever snow that falls likely won’t stick around.
