Blue Jays manager John Gibbons says Edwin Encarnacion will be in the lineup for game two of the American League Championship Series in Kansas City today.
The power-hitting designated hitter left game one with a contusion to his finger Friday night. Apparently, it was a recurring injury that has hampered Edwing at times this season.
Encarnacion will bat in the cleanup spot and Russell Martin is expected to play as well.
The Jays will send David Price to the mound against the Royals Yordano Ventura at 4:07 p.m., as they look to even the series at one game apiece.
