A tense morning is unfolding at Wilfrid Laurier University’s Waterloo campus.
It was placed on lockdown at 6 a.m. after the Special Constable Service received a tip from Crime Stoppers indicating a threat to the school. Police were notified immediately, and they were able to confirm the threat which prompted the response.
Police are working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the RCMP.
All students, staff and faculty have been advised to stay away from the campus until further notice.
