It’s do or die.
Win and you’re in.
Backs against the wall.
Must win situation.
There’s a good chance you’ll hear every known cliche at some point Wednesday, ahead of the Jays hosting the Rangers for Game 5 of the A-L-D-S.
Whichever one is used, there’s no mistaking it: the Jays have to win this one to advance to the A-L-C-S, and inch closer to a World Series title.
Marcus Stroman, who pitched 7 innings in Game 2, gets the start against Rangers lefty Cole Hamels, under a closed roof at the Rogers Centre.
If they win the deciding Game 5, the Jays will become the third team in MLB history to win a division series after losing the first 2 games at home.
The first pitch goes just after 4 p.m., and Toronto Police are reminding not only fans, but the general public, about traffic delays in and around that area.
