Somewhere in Russia, Russian President Valdimir Putin must be laughing himself to death after Canadian Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau said that he would tell off the politician “directly to his face” if he was prime minister.
Trudeau accuses Putin of being “dangerous”, “harmful” and “provocative”.
“If I have the opportunity in the coming months to meet with Vladimir Putin, I will tell him all this directly to his face because we need to ensure that Canada continues to stand strongly for peace and justice in the world.”
Would that be the wisest thing for Justin Trudeau to do? Does that sound like the appropriate diplomatic approach that the leader of a Canada should take? Did you lose any respect for Trudeau after learning about this comment, or is it about time a world leader stood up to Putin?
