After spending nearly 2 years in his own personal hell former Al-Jazeera reporter Mohamed Fahmy is back home.
Fahmy arrived in Toronto on Sunday after spending nearly two years behind bars in Egypt.
He was arrested back in 2013 with two other reporters and accused of aiding in the Muslim Brotherhood’s uprising.
Things looked bleak like Fahmy would never be able to join his family but thanks to a Presidential pardon from Egypt’s head of state he was allowed to return home.
