Troy Tulowitzski’s three run homer in the Top of the sixth gave the Jays some breathing room, as they avoided a sweep in game 3 of their divisional series with the Texas Rangers.
Tulowitzski got a monkey off his back, as he went 0 for 11 in the first two games of the series.
The Jays began the sixth loading the bases, and looked like they might choke when Chris Colabello hit into a double play before Tulowitzski’s two out homer.
Marco Estrada went 6 and a third for the win.
Next game is Monday afternoon in Arlington at 4:00pm EST
Still some confusion on who will actually start game four for the Jays, but, R A Dicky is likely.
Earlier in the day, Mayor John Tory hosted the unveiling of a giant Blue Jays Logo at Canoe Landing Park near the Waterfront. It was in response to a similar (but smaller) Rangers logo unveiled at a park in Texas. That move was followed by a parks and rec department tweet wishing Toronto “a good hockey season”.
