Toronto police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who struck a 53 year old cyclist before driving off in the Little Italy area of the city.
According to police, there was a confrontation between the man and the cyclist on College Street near Euclid Avenue at 2.52. a.m on Sunday October 4th, when the cyclist appeared to slap the man in question, as he attempted to cross the street.
The cyclist then continued east on College Street, while the pedestrian got into a black BMW and followed suit, colliding with the cyclist near Markham Street.
The cyclist suffered serious but non life threatening injuries in the incident and was transported to hospital for treatment.
The driver failed to remain at the scene.
He is described as 5’8″ with a medium build while the vehicle is believed to be a 2001-2005 BMW M3 or 3 series, 2 door, black in colour, with black rims.
According to police the vehicle will have damage to the right front and possibly right side.
