The Blue Jays first playoff game in 22 years didn’t go how fans would have liked.
The Jays lost 5-3 in game 1 of the 5 game series.
The raucous crowd of almost 50,000 went silent when the Rangers took a 4-1 lead in the 5th inning but the Jays battled back to make it a 1 run game before Texas went on to the 5-3 win
Robinson Chirinos and Roughned Odor each went deep for the Rangers while Jose Bautista hit a solo shot for the Jays.
There were some scary moments in the game as MVP candidate Josh Donaldson left the game as a precaution after he took a knee to the head while sliding aggressively into second base to break up a double play.
The good news is he has passed a concussion test and is expected to play tomorrow.
Jose Bautista also left the game late but he is also expected to play in game 2 tomorrow afternoon.
Marcus Stroman will get the start against the Rangers Cole Hammels.
