Rogers Communications is trying to help bring 4K TVs into mainstream use with their latest announcement concerning the Toronto Blue Jays.
In 2016, Rogers will offer 101 live sports broadcasts in super-high-definition to viewers, starting with a January 23rd NHL game and continuing with ALL 2016 Blue Jays home game.
This will augment the relatively few 4K offerings that currently exist.
Rogers chief executive officer Guy Laurence has high hopes for this roll-out, proclaiming that this offering is “the final thing that will unlock the whole value chain for 4K.”
4K TV content is so crystal clear that characters actually look lifelike, as thought they’re right there in the room with you!
Do you agree? Will you buy a 4K TV just to watch a simple baseball game?
