Blue Jays fans (many of them bandwagon jumpers) fought hard and paid well for tickets to the playoffs after they went on sale recently.
Unfortunately, many of those fans are now trying to figure out just how they’ll attend some of those games after it turns out that two of them will be played during work hours!
Game 1 is set for Thursday at 3:30-4pm, while Game 2 will start much earlier at 12:45pm.
Thousands of ticket holders are now contemplating taking a sick day from work, booking a last-minute vacation request, or posting the tickets online for sale.
Some Millennial fans have compared this long-awaited post-season shot to the 1972 Summit Series between Canada and Russia, where Canada beat the Soviets 6-5 in Game 8. Young and old across Canada tuned in for the famous battle on ice. Does that comparison make ANY sense?
Would you have a problem with an employee booking a sick day just to watch a Blue Jays game? If you’re holding a ticket to either of the aforementioned games, what tactics will you employ to attend the game, or find a place to watch it on TV?
