The province’s police watchdog has been called in to investigate after a Toronto police cruiser struck a female pedestrian near Richmond and Simcoe Streets.
It happened just before 2 p.m. and Paramedics say she was rushed to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The SIU is an arm’s length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
