The daughter of the late Paul Walker, Meadow Rain Walker, is suing Porsche for wrongful death, claiming the sports car her father was killed in suffered from numerous design defects. Walker, known for his role in the Fast & Furious series, died in a car crash in 2013. A police investigation said speed was the cause of Walker’s death. But Meadow’s suit says the street legal race car, a Porsche Carrera GT, lacked a proper stability control system and safeguards to protect occupants and keep it from catching fire after a collision. The widow of Roger Rodas, Walker’s friend and the driver of the car, is filing a similar lawsuit against Porsche. Porsche has said it has not seen the lawsuit yet, so it would not comment on specifics. The rest of us are left wondering what kind of safety features would help someone survive a 90 mph crash.
