A Friday phone call between Liberal Party Leader Justin Trudeau and Canada’s beloved environmental activist David Suzuki did not end well, with the two exchanging angry barbs.
The chat went south when Trudeau told Suzuki that he doesn’t “have to listen to this sanctimonious crap,” and Suzuki followed up by calling Justin a ‘twerp’.
Wonder if they both ended the conversation by slamming the phone down in anger?
In a chat with former CBC star Evan Solomon, on his new radio show Everything is Political: Campaign 2015, Suzuki claimed that Trudeau called him to discuss the Liberal’s climate change policy, ahead of its release.
Suzuki claims that Justin wanted an endorsement. Sounds like the exact opposite happeend!
Suzuki called out Trudeau for supporting questionable projects in the past, and told him that he was just being political, that he’s supporting tar sands and the Keystone pipeline just to find support in Alberta.
“You’re all over the damn map!” Suzuki claims he told the Liberal party leader.
Suzuki went on to say that only Green Party’s Elizabeth May is taking environmental issues seriously.
