A 29-year-old man faces eighteen charges, including impaired driving and dangerous driving causing death, after three siblings and their grandfather died in a horrific crash in Vaughan this weekend. Two women are in stable condition in hospital after a minivan carrying six people, including the children and their grandfather, was struck by a black SUV just north of Kleinburg. Marco Muzzo was driving a separate vehicle and will appear today in a Newmarket court. Firefighters and paramedics tried to resuscitate the children when they arrived at the scene of the crash but were unsuccessful. This story is about as tough as it gets. And sadly, this story will repeat itself.
Should this be a turning point? Is it time to make breathalyzer car ignition systems mandatory?
