A lockdown which had been in place at Queen Victoria Public School in Toronto’s west end has now been lifted.
The measure was taken after police received a phone call just before 11.am. which said there was was a shooting victim inside the school.
However, investigations found now evidence of a shooting in the area and the lockdown at the school near King and Jameson was lifted at around 11.20.a.m.
All students are safe and accounted for according to the TDSB and police are now looking into the source of the call.
