“Four or five” American-trained Syrian fighters are fighting ISIS.
Five hundred million dollars have been spent by the U.S. to train Syrian forces to battle ISIS. This week General Lloyd Austin, U.S. Army Commander in the region informed Congress that today, “we’re talking four or five” trained Syrian fighters are opposing the forces of ISIS. This is Barack Obama’s core plan to “degrade and destroy” ISIS.
And how many Syrians are being trained currently to defeat ISIS on the ground? “Between 100 and 120” said the General.
