Thursday night’s debate on the economy, hosted in Calgary by the Globe & Mail, saw federal leaders Justin Trudeau, Stephen Harper and Thomas Mulcair (with Green Party’s Elizabeth May tweeting up a storm on social media) launch pointed attacked on each other’s platforms.
Discussions covered jobs, energy, deficits, and infrastructure.
One of the livelier exchanges concerned the government’s response to the Syrian refugee crisis. Trudeau and Mulcair accused Harper of not doing enough, while the prime minister defended Canada’s decision to carefully and slowly screen and approve refugees from the country gripped by civil war.
Did you watch any part of the debate? Who do you think “won”? John Oakley doesn’t think there was any clear leader out of last night’s chat. What say YOU?
