A man wanted in connection with the death of a gas station employee following a 2012 ”gas and dash” has been arrested in Montreal.
Max Edwin Tutiven, who has evaded police for 3 years was apprehended at around 9.30 on Thursday morning.
His arrest comes just two days after police in Toronto offered up a $25,000 reward for information leading to his capture and according to police it was a tip from a member of the public that led authorities to Tutiven.
He now faces a second degree murder charge in connection with the death of 44-year-old Jayesh Prajapati who was struck and killed by a vehicle at the gas station near Marlee and Roselawn avenues as he tried to stop a man from driving away without paying for his fuel.
He also faces charges relating to separate incidents of gas theft in Toronto and Montreal.
