Peel Regional Police are still scratching their head over this one!
A Brampton driver learned that patience is needed when playing the role of chauffeur for your children.
Police say a driver sped through a parking lot at Ray Lawson Blvd. and McLaughlin Road to avoid waiting at a red light while shuttling his two kids to school.
The parking lot provided too challenging for the driver, and he ended up crashing into two concrete poles at about 8:20am.
Somehow the Nissan SUV came to a rest ON TOP of one of the poles! A special tow truck had to be called in to raise the car off the pole, according to Const. Lilly Fitzpatrick.
No charges have been laid yet, but should the driver face a judge and answer for his speedy stupidity? Or is the public shame the driver will undoubtedly endure punishment enough?
This isn’t the first accident to occur thanks to impatient driving. Back in the start of September near the Pacific Mall, a 67-year-old woman drove into a mother and her two children before hitting a stop sign and a nearby church. The impatient motorist hit the gas to get around the bus that the family had just disembarked from. The driver was arrested for dangerous driving.
What is wrong with drivers these days?
