An accident involving a GO transit bus has caused the Union station bus terminal to temporarily close.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. and the entire station has been taped off. The taxi stand next to the terminal is temporarily being used to unload passengers but the terminal will be close until further notice.
Luckily no one was hurt as the bus jumped the curb where passengers normally wait and become lodged under the roof of the terminal.
The driver was assessed by paramedics and an investigation has been launched into what caused the crash.
GO Transit says routes 31, 61, 63, 65, and 71 will resume service to and from the Union bus terminal at 7 p.m.
That means all routes except 16 and 21 will be leaving the Bus terminal, while the Milton (21) Hamilton (16) routes will be serviced by the Lakeshore west line.
Metrolinx says passengers using route 21 or the Milton line will have to connect at Port Credit to proceed to Milton.
